Coatsworth Road

Coatsworth Road was a commercial spine running through Bensham, lined with the kind of independent shops, pubs, and corner businesses that Charlie painted across his entire career. He returned to it repeatedly, recording shopfronts, signage, and the ordinary foot traffic of a working street.

The road was not demolished. It is still a working shopping street, though many of the shops he painted have changed hands since.
